Meredith Fox is the founder and CEO of Portage Partners Consulting based in Minneapolis and Lutsen, Minnesota. Her passion is to support and empower the people and organizations making Minnesota a better place for all. She has a degree in political science from The American University in Washington D.C. and a Master of Public Policy degree from the Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota where she focused on public finance and administration. She's held leadership positions in Minnesota state government, the University of Minnesota and Minneapolis Public Schools and provided professional consulting services to a vast array of civic-sector organizations in Minnesota and beyond. She is a lifelong learner with professional skills in facilitating system change, strategic planning, intercultural competency, design thinking, process improvement, community engagement, organizational change management, group facilitation, organizational design, project management and leadership coaching and is frequently an invited speaker on these topics. She is a Qualified Administrator (QA) of the Intercultural Developmental Inventory (IDI), Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute, Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) through the Coaches Training Institute, Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coach Federation and is certified in IDEO design thinking, the Balanced Scorecard, ADKAR organizational change management, Hogan Leadership Assessment and LEAN/Six Sigma for the public sector.
Meredith is highly skilled at achieving transformational results under the public spotlight and in partnership with a broad array of stakeholders. Her career has focused on translating and successfully applying performance excellence business practices in the public/non-profit/education sectors. Meredith is a systems thinker who delivers results in complex situations, all with a fierce commitment toward making the world a better place. Portage Partners is named after the journey from one lake to another in her beloved Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northern Minnesota. |
